The Leicestershire Brahma Samaj is a Leicester based organisation founded by the Brahmin community. During the 6th and the 7th decades of this century few Brahmin families migrated to Leicester and decided to make their home. Thereafter, to fulfil the missing needs of religious education, culture and community cohesion, few passionate members of the community formed the TLBS on the 3rd of October 1970.

As years went by, it was felt that to serve the community in every respect without interruption, a permanent base was necessary. On the 20th of April 1977, a building on Belgrave Road was bought, at an auction by the hard working foresighted members of the Samaj. The Leicestershire Brahma Samaj was permanently established in the heart of Leicester, which is also the heart of England.
